I'm sure you've wondered how to get Photoshop to make a 70's style glass block/wall texture... I'm sure you've even tried and maybe lost sleep over it. Without further ado, here is how to do such a thing.
Follow along step by step...
Open up Photoshop and open a new image (400 x 200).
Press the D button to make the fore/background colors default (black and white).
Press: Filter -> Render -> Clouds
Now you've got your clouds, which is the base of the foggy glass texture. Time to add the actual glass bricks effect. Follow along...
Press; Filter -> Distort -> Glass...
For my effect, I decided to go with:
Distortion value: 9
Smoothness value: 2
Texture specification: Bricks
Scaling value: 65%
Now you've got this...
Another nice and easy way to use Photoshop to make some textures. Great for 3D Max!
